My digital work has been accepted into the highly competitive Color Council (ISCC) Exhibition titled Color Shifts. This prestigious exhibition, which will be held in conjunction with their yearly conference from June 16 – 18, 2025, at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, accepted only 54 artists out of 320 applicants. It's a special honor for me, as color is a central feature of my work.
This exhibition explores the role of color in communication in the arts, design, sciences and humanities, and the way color can be used to shift our perspectives.
The creation of Shades of Autumn, the piece chosen for this exhibition, began with the photography of fallen leaves on a flat surface, which I then silhouetted in Photoshop. In a separate image, I made an expressive digital painting. The collage was completed by layering the reversed-out, silhouetted leaves on the colorful painting. Finally, I blurred some pigment to illustrate the movement of falling leaves.
Colorful Spring Pastel Painting
Now that spring is here, I would like to present a soft pastel painting of flowers. Flower Duo presents a treatment of two chrysanthemums, yellow and red, in vases. The image also features a theatrical-like background of purple-blue and black.
